Merry Christmas 2013

Your special featured Christmas song, What a Glorious Night by Sidewalk Prophets! Such a beautiful song. I like listening to it with my headphones, in the dark, with the fiber-optic Christmas tree on my dresser glowing.

We gave our three spoiled kitties (Midnight, Juliet, Twilight) some new toys for Christmas. In the first 15 minutes, Twilight had already gotten her new white mouse toy stuck under a cabinet in our dining room. It's really hard to get under it when you want to fish out kitty toys, so we never really made a point to do it before. That kind of explains why when we went to fish out the mouse toy (Twilight was very desperate), we found not only the mouse, but a pink ball, a yellow ball, two bouncy balls of mine, a rock, an old bracelet that was Sardina's, a candy cane ornament, a Moravian star ornament, a wise man ornament, a green fish filled with catnip, a blue fish filled with catnip, and some kind of a magnolia seed pod stem from LAST Thanksgiving. So while I'm writing this, Mom is going around the house fishing out all the cat toys from under the other cabinets, including the refrigerator and oven. :P

As for me, I got a lava lamp for my room (YAY), a green and black TM outfit (scarf, hat, track suit, and white sneakers to write lyrics on), a new black dress coat, and more, and I still have the big family party to go to Sunday...

Getting this CD from my mom yesterday really made my day after kind of overreacting to the fact that Toby isn't coming near where I live on his tour next spring.

SO SO SO thankful to have everybody from my Dad's side of the family get together at our house this holiday!!!

And guess what that sweetie pie Aunt Beth gave me?!?!?! Another TM bracelet!!!

 

Now, with 2 CDs, 2 bracelets, AND a shirt, I totally feel like a true fan. =D

I just LOVE Leigh Nash's part! She's perfect in this song!!! And Toby totally aced it as usual... Songs as beautiful as this are why I like Christian contemporary music so so much. The lyrics are so meaningful and the people that mix the music just overdo it!!! I'm so glad God gives people like Toby such amazing talents and that they use those talents to bring the glory back to God.

TobyMeow Hits Deep Tour 2013 (featuring Sunshine and The Wildcats)!!!

We had an awesome turnout for the concert - 47 pets (and 2 humans) in total!

We performed 20 songs, including Tonight, Hold Me, Good Morning (it was weird performing THAT at 8:00 at night), City On Our Knees, a remix of Me Without You, Steal My Show, Middle Of Your Heart, and Speak Life. And one thing I just realized a minute ago is that we started the concert with TobyMeow performing Made To Love and, thanks to the audience begging for more, ended it with the Wildcats performing Born To Love!

As for me, I spent most of my time backstage watching the concert (very fun), except for when I did the drums for the Wildcats' 2 songs, then at the end I UNEXPECTEDLY had to sing (very stressful). Everybody had lots of fun and the concert was a blast. It was a great experience working with all of the crew on the tour (basically everybody from TobyMeow, Sunshine, and The Wildcats, plus Chloe Elena), except for TobyMeow's DJ, Buddy, who snored very loudly every night and then wondered why everybody else was still in bed at noon. **SIGH**

Upcoming TobyMeow Concert!!! and Double Song of the Week 11/9/13

I'M VERY SORRY ABOUT THIS!!! It was supposed to get posted on the 9th but today I realized it wasn't ever posted :P So when you're reading this keep in mind it was written on the 9th.

Hi everyone!!!

I've had a totally awesome week. I got my new TobyMac CD and t-shirt on Monday, then on Wednesday one of my friends came up to me at karate and gave me a bracelet I had been wanting for weeks and weeks!

 

The Webkinz and I have been so busy yesterday and today planning and rehearsing for the TobyMeow Hits Deep concert on the 16th...we can't wait! We'll have TobyMeow, Sunshine, The Wildcats, AND Mayhem (who will be singing a couple of Mandisa songs). They're all going to perform their top hits, a total of 20 songs! The Wildcats are releasing their new album soon and there are already rumors of a Wildcats concert sometime next year...

Yesterday, the 13 pets of the TobyMeow Hits Deep Tour crew and I planned out the order of all the songs for the concert and rehearsed almost all of them. Today we've been picking out what everybody is going to wear for the big night (Sneaker's outfit is SUPERB), and I've been busy helping everyone that wants to come to the concert figure out their budget and how much money they'll spend. A few pets have even won free tickets, bracelets, and headbands through the prize drawing. This is going to be so fun...

Anyway, since I've fallen a bit behind on Song of the Week, I'm just going to give you a Double Song of the Week now and wait until next Sunday for another one.

This song is by TobyMac's oldest son Truett. He has made several appearances on Toby's albums as TruDog, and this was from Toby's 2010 album Tonight. It's called Loud 'N' Clear.

Song of the Week 10/29/13

Hi! What's up? :P

I had been toying around with lots of ideas for song of the week before I picked this one out. This is the one I had thought of originally, and then lots of other songs came to mind, but this song seemed to stand out. This morning I was still trying to pick one when I checked out the Recently Played Songs list on the K-LOVE website, and it was playing, then this afternoon going to piano lessons I heard it in the car again:

Holding Nothing Back by Ryan Stevenson.

I'm so excited... on Friday I'm going to sleep over at my Aunt's house, and I think I'll get pretty much all day Friday and Saturday there too! One of my old friends I haven't seen in a while is coming too so we'll get to see each other again and play some. I usually take a movie up there for us to watch, but I can't think of a movie to take, so I'm taking all sorts of Webkinz concert stuff to make up for it. The lead singers from TobyMeow and Sunshine are going to be there, but I picked out a variety of other pets for the rest of the group, so it will be interesting to see how they all do together at the concert!

Also, I'm ordering TobyMac's Eye On It Deluxe Edition CD!!! I wanted to get the CD so I can take it to my friend's house (I don't take my iPad there), and I can burn it to the computer and put the songs on my iPad too. I can't wait...

Song of the Week 10/15/13

Our song of the week is by my 2nd favorite singer, Mandisa. Overcomer has been the top song on K-LOVE for a little while now and they used the instrumental version of it a lot for their pledge drive, which I think is very cool.

TobyMeow Part 2

Juliet likes TobyMac so much she even has a headband to show it! LOL

Anyway, this is part 2 of the whole plethora of TobyMeow stuff, so if you haven't read part 1, I suggest you do that first.

I'd better take you on a tour of Sneaker's latest room on Webkinz. It's called "TobyMeow's Music Room." Everybody is there right now except for my Clydesdale, Charley, who is working on a pair of fall outdoor rooms...

Sneaker loves his new room and he thinks it's great to have everybody there.

Speaking of Sneaker, he turned 5 years (about 38 cat years) old on the 2nd. He invited everybody from the Wild Cats Club, everybody from the Wildcats band (those are NOT to be confused with each other), everybody from TobyMeow, and everybody from Sunshine. (That's a lot of musicians!)

 First, everybody played Webkinz Twister.

 Sneaker won!!!

 Then, after everybody got some little snacks, they did a mini concert. (At least it was planned to be mini. I went to Awanas that night and when I came back they were still doing it.) Sunshine was up first, and they did Hold Me and one other song.

 The Wildcats were next. They did Born To Be Wild, Middle Of Your Heart, and Promises.

 After that, of course, was TobyMeow. They did Steal My Show, Lose Myself, and then Unstoppable with Juliet and Sardina. Everybody sure got into that one!

 After a little cleanup (LOL), they did Favorite Song, and Zahra sang Jamie Grace's part.

 Cake time!!!!!!

 ...and more little snacks.

 After cake, everybody did Musical Chairs using TobyMac songs. We used Me Without You for the main part and Eye On It for the final FINAL FINAL round. Midnight won. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures, I just have a video of the final rounds.

After that, it was time for bed, so we had a huge sleepover.

Nobody wanted to get up in the morning, except for Zahra, who is definitely a morning pet. She got up at 7:00 and proceeded to get out the Sound Bites machine and wake everybody up. :P

Then we started doing Wildcats, TobyMeow, and Sunshine autographs. To this day, the Webkinz are still on my bed hanging out. Well, except for Sardina, who has places to go. Today is HER birthday.



TobyMeow Part 1 & Song of the Week 10/6/13

I can’t wait to show you all my latest drawing!!!

But if I’m going to show you that, I have to tell you the history of TobyMeow. And if I’m going to tell you the history of TobyMeow, I have to start with Sunshine. If it hadn’t been for that Lowes commercial and K-LOVE, this whole thing wouldn’t have even happened.

So, back in spring sometime, this Lowes commercial came on TV, and the song really stood out to me. So I looked it up. The song was “I Make My Own Sunshine” by Alyssa Bonagura. I decided to get it on iTunes. Then, I thought, to make it even more fun, I would pick out a couple plush animals who could sing it. I picked out Zahra the Lil’ Kinz leopard and Sunshine the yellow bunny (Sunshine isn’t a Webkinz but Zahra is).

 

Since then, Zahra and Sunshine have named their band “Sunshine” and gotten 5 more songs to do. Their drummer is April, my Webkinz rabbit, and their DJ and background vocalist is Sneaker, my Webkinz tiger, who is Zahra’s husband.

One of the other songs they picked out was Jamie Grace’s hit song “Hold Me” (which I wouldn’t have discovered without K-LOVE). Sneaker, of course, did TobyMac’s background vocals for Hold Me, and that’s how he discovered his talent for TobyMac songs. Then I started hearing song after song by TobyMac and I soon decided he was my favorite singer. I figured we had to have a Webkinz version, and right away I knew it had to be Sneaker. I still don’t remember how I came up with “TobyMeow”. I never remember such things.

So, after I picked out Sneaker (Zahra was SO excited), we proceeded to pick out everybody else.

Most of these pets weren’t involved in any music stuff before this, even though they have great talents, so they’re really excited!

And after a little while of getting more “serious” pictures, everybody wanted to do silly ones, and I had no choice but to give in to their desperate pleads. LOL

…and ever since then, Sunflower (the yellow bunny) has gotten all his pictures done standing on his head, unless it really inconveniences me.

TobyMeow is still fairly new, so they’re still figuring out all of the TobyMac songs they are going to do covers for and getting those separated into albums. But they’ve already done their first music video, City on Our Knees! (I wish I could post it on here but I haven’t figured out how to do that yet.) We timed the video just right with the sunset and it sure turned out better than we thought, considering that my iPad was running out of battery and I had to recharge it a bit every 5-10 minutes! Here’s what it looked like at the end:
